How To Lovesac?

  • Measure your space before purchasing! Please choose carefully! Lovesac does not offer refunds or replacements if you simply change your mind.
  • Lovesac strongly recommends that all covers are washed in cold water using a liquid detergent prior to use.  This will eliminate the unlikely event of dye transfer.
  • Do not place bold/dark colours on or against light coloured carpets walls or furniture.  A colour transfer may occur due to frictions in certain conditions.

Fluffing up the Insert:

  1. Unzip the canvas duffle bag swiftly and completely; then remove it.
  2. Remove the thick plastic bag, and zip it back up inside the canvas bag - away from children.
  3. Punch into the expanding Lovesac Insert with two fists at a time.
  4. Rotate and repeat until the foam is broken into larger chunks.
  5. Knead the remaining chunks out with your hands from the outside of the Insert bag.
  6. Leave it sit for at least two hours.
  7. Flip & rotate & punch the Lovesac.  If there are no more clumps of foam and the liner is fully fluffed - proceed.  Otherwise, return to Step 5
  8. Zip your cover on.

Putting on the Cover: Choose your size for details.

*All new items - especially those with a Microsuede cover will feel firm initially.  This is because, like a new pair of jeans, they need wearing in.  Luckily you have no problem assisting in this department, right?*

    1. Turn the Lovesac Insert over so that the zip is facing skyward.
    2. Unzip your Cover in half.  *Note the area between where the zip starts and finishes; this is called the ‘spine’.  It is the same length as the zip on the Insert.
    3. Line the 'spine' of the Cover up with the zip of the Insert.  The seams of the Insert and Cover should align and run in the same direction.  This ensures optimum shape and comfort.
    4. Zip your Cover up, making sure to maintain the alignment of the Cover to the Insert.
    5. Flip the Lovesac around so that the label is facing skyward and the 'spine' is now on the base.  Now double punch the front seam to create a seating position.
    6. Voilà.

                1. Lay your Cover flat out, with the zipper facing skyward.  *If you lift the right hand corner of the Cover, you should see the Lovesac logo.
                2. Flatten out your Pillowsac into a giant rectangular pillow on the floor and ensure all the foam is spread evenly across the item and into each corner.  *Place the side with the zipper on the end facing right (East).
                3. Place your flattened Insert on top of the Cover and begin by tucking in the top two corners.
                4. Push the Insert into the Cover as much as you can while maintaining the pillow shape.
                5. Begin tucking in the bottom two corners.
                6. Gently press more of the Insert in, one handful at a time until the entire Insert has been kneaded into the Cover.
                7. Zip up the cover.  Prop it up onto the length of its side and punch in at the corner opposite the Logo.
                8. Voilà.

                1. Turn the Lovesac Insert over so that the zip is facing skyward.
                2. Unzip your Cover in half.  *Note the long rectangular panel that lies between where the zip starts and finishes; this is called the ‘spine’.
                6. Voilà.

                1. Tilt the Gamesac Insert so that the zip is on the right hand face of the cube, running horizontally.
                2. Unfold your cover and place it on the floor with the Lovesac/Gamesac Logo facing skyward.  Locate the right hand panel, and unzip it completely.  Place the unzipped part aside for now.
                3. Now face the missing side of the Cover skyward - the logo should now be on the left face.  Place your Insert on top of it, and work the Cover halfway up each side.  *Be sure to properly align the four corners.
                4. With the Logo of the Cover on the left face, and the Insert zip covered on the right,  pull the Cover up on each side the rest of the way.  *Be sure to align the four corners.
                5. Once the liner is completely inside, retrieve the unzipped panel and zip it on.
                6. Flip the Lovesac around so that the label is facing skyward.
                7. Voilà.

All covers are made of a synthetic suede - made to feel like a real suede - that can easily be removed and washed.  We recommend a cold wash, using a liquid detergent (such as Earth’s Choice), and line dry.  We prefer that you do not tumble dry the cover as this may cause the item to shrink.  If you were to risk it, we obviously recommend the coolest setting.

You may attempt to steam clean the Insert, however the foam deep within the Lovesac is unlikely to be reached. Just like your feather doonas, we recommend, taking them outside on a warm sunny day (perhaps during a Spring clean) and leaving them there for a few hours.  Before you take it back inside, punch and rotate them a few times.  If you like you can beat or brush the outside of the Insert to help air it out.  If the Insert liner is stained in any way, you can use warm soapy water to gently rub the area, followed by a hair dryer.  Please do not open the inner liner and attempt to clean, alter or extract your foam.  It will void your warranty and create a monumental mess.

For the lighter items it’s as simple as rolling them over and punching down with two hands to push the air back through the foam.  For the heavier items, you will need to do this several times as you rotate the Lovesac 360°. If it’s still feeling a little flat, simply flip and punch from left to right.

Yes we do.  We call them 'SacVac Packs™.  It's a portable package which enables you to recompress your Lovesac with the use of your vacuum cleaner.   Please note that this process is reliant on the strength of your vacuum cleaner and physical capabilities.  To find out more || click here ||

If you can access to a ute or four-wheel-drive and able to bring the item into the store, we can arrange to have the truck pick it up and take it to the factory on our weekly stock runs.  Please allow 5 working days for the item to be returned.  The cost of this service is $100 per lovesac.  If you don't have access to any of these vehicles, consider hiring one. Call the store on 02 9380 4904 for more information.

Whatever way that makes you comfortable is best.  That said, we generally recommend you sit on the first third of the item, allowing two thirds to wrap around you for support.

Fluff up the Lovesac so that it’s full making sure that the Lovesac label is facing skyward.  Below that you’ll see a seam, similar to a tennis ball line.  Punch two fists into that area.  Then stand in front of your Lovesac and instead of lying back or falling at a 45° angle, simply sit straight down as though you were sitting on a small wooden stool.  You will notice that the foam has filled out around you creating more upright support.  Now simply lean back and enjoy the love!
